30-Day Social Media Checklist for Bangalore Businesses

A month of concrete actions for a Bangalore business owner doing social media without an agency. No signup, no email required — print it, tick it off, keep it.

It's ordered deliberately: foundations first, because posting into a badly set-up profile wastes the work. Do it in sequence.

24 tasks · about 30 days
Week 1

Fix the foundations

  • Switch to a Business or Creator account
    unlocks insights and contact buttons
  • Write a bio that says what you do and where
"Skin clinic in Jayanagar" beats "transforming lives"
  • Add a contact button and your WhatsApp number
    the whole point is enquiries
  • Set a profile photo that reads at thumbnail size
    logos with small text disappear
  • Create 3–5 story highlights
    services, results, pricing, FAQs, about
  • Check your top 3 local competitors
note what gets them comments, not just likes
Week 2

Build a content bank

  • List the 10 questions customers ask you most
    each one is a video
  • Film 8 short videos in one sitting
batching is why agencies stay consistent
  • Shoot vertical, in good light, with clean audio
phone is fine; bad audio is not
  • Write a hook for each — first 3 seconds only
"Hair thinning after 35?" not "Hi everyone"
  • Add captions to every single video
most feed viewing is on mute
  • Save 5 reference posts you want to emulate
    reference, don't copy
Week 3

Post with a rhythm

  • Publish 4–5 times this week, same days each week
consistency teaches the algorithm and your audience
  • Reply to every comment within a few hours
    early engagement drives reach
  • Reply to DMs the same day
this is where enquiries actually convert
  • Use 5–8 relevant local hashtags
    #bangalore #koramangala beat generic tags
  • Post 2–3 stories daily
    stories keep existing followers warm
  • Try one trending audio with your own twist
    trends give reach, not credibility
Week 4

Read the numbers and adjust

  • Open Insights and find your top 3 posts by reach
    reach, not likes
  • Check average watch time on each video
under 3 seconds means the hook failed
  • Note which topics drove profile visits
    profile visits are intent
  • Count actual enquiries from social this month
the only number that pays you
  • Make more of whatever won; drop what didn't
    double down, don't diversify
  • Plan next month's 12 posts before the 1st
    planning beats posting when inspired

If You Only Do Three Things

Realistically, most owners won't finish all 24. If you do just three, make them these: captions on every video, a hook in the first three seconds, and replying to every DM the same day. Those three alone outperform most of what small businesses currently do.
